Hungarian Testing Board


The Hungarian Testing Board, or the Hungarian Software Testing and Qualifications Board, is a non-profit organisation founded in 2007 for the purpose of supporting the improvement of the professionals practicing in the field of inland software testing, software quality and related areas. In addition to testing in itself, the HTB is an official panel for all testing related disciplines and activities in Hungary.
HTB is the only official member organisation of ISTQB in Hungary, therefore the organiser, provider of the ISTQB Tester Certification exams based on international standards.
In addition to arranging exams for professionals and providing standards, in 2011 HTB created HUSTEF, which is the biggest software testing conference in the Central European Region.
The Board consists of testing experts from a wide range of organizations: the IT industry, consultancies, training providers and other professional and scientific/academic communities who volunteer their time to the achievement of organization's goals.

The HTB provides the below certifications on behalf of ISTQB, IREB and TMMi.

ISTQB Certified Tester

The ISTQB Certified-Tester Program is recognized worldwide as a standard qualification scheme for software testers. It consists of three levels:
All ISTQB exams are available in Hungary. Relating syllabus contents and examination questions are also developed and published in Hungary by the Hungarian Testing Board.

Foundation Level

The CTFL qualification is aimed at anyone involved in software testing. This includes people in roles such as testers, test analysts, test engineers, test consultants, test managers, user acceptance testers and software developers. This CTFL qualification is also appropriate for anyone who wants a basic understanding of software testing, such as project managers, quality managers, software development managers, business analysts, IT directors and management consultants. Holders of the CTFL Certificate will be able to go on to a higher level software testing qualification.
Tha basis of all other exams is the Certified Tester exam which focuses on the basic knowledge and terms related to software testing. This exam is required to continue with the more advanced ones. Specialised exams are also available at the foundation level.

Advanced Level

The ISTQB CTAL qualification is aimed at people who have achieved an advanced level in their careers in software testing. This includes people in roles such as testers, test analysts, test engineers, test consultants, test managers, user acceptance testers, and software developers. This CTAL qualification is also appropriate for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of software testing, such as project managers, quality manager's, software development managers, business analysts, IT directors and management consultants.
ISTQB AL TM (Advanced Level Test Manager)
The Advanced Test Manager Level focuses on the advanced working responsibilities of the Test Manager or Test Lead

    CPRE FL :
    The International Requirements Engineering Board is responsible for the international scheme called Certified Professional Requirements Engineering. The HTB is recognized by the International Requirements Engineering Board as an IREB – CPRE Exam Provider.
    Foundation level comprises basic knowledge of eliciting, analyzing, specifying, documenting, validating and managing requirements. A person with a CPRE FL certificate is familiar with the terminology of requirements engineering/business analysis and requirements management. Understands the basic techniques and methods of requirements engineering and their application and is familiar with the most established notations for requirements.

    TMMi - Test Maturity Model integrated

    TMMi Foundation is a non-profit organization in Ireland which was established with the aim of supporting companies to reach a higher level of quality and effectiveness in testing and developing.
    In January 2018 Hungarian Testing Board became the official Hungarian representative of TMMi Foundation. Among others HTB aims to raise awareness towards TMMi, supports trainings and examinations in Hungary, trains auditors and issues Hungarian certificates.

    HUSTEF

    HUSTEF is one of the premier conferences in Europe related to software testing founded in 2011 by the members of HTB. Its aim is to provide a platform for software testers, developers etc. to be able to exchange information about new developments in the industry. HUSTEF has been growing since the foundation and by now it has become on of the biggest software testing events in Europe. Hundreds of attendees gather each year to get acquainted with the latest news and projects through impressive speeches held by presenters coming from different countries with a wide range of professional experience.
