How Ridiculous is an Australian YouTube channel based in Perth, Western Australia, that specialises in trick shots and other sports entertainment videos. The channel consists of Brett Isaac Stanford, Derek Douglas Herron and Scott Steven Gaunson., they have nearly 6 million subscribers and 908 million video views. They are mostly known for their trick shots and experiments involving dropping objects onto other objects from a great height, typically 45 meters. Objects that have been dropped by the channel range from bowling balls, anvils, lifting stones and custom-made "giant darts".

History

The group began in 2009, with videos made for fun in backyards. The trio's main stunt is throwing or dropping objects from great heights. Many of their videos are recorded at the Gravity Discovery Centre at the Leaning Tower of Gingin.
On January 19, 2018, How Ridiculous uploaded a video in which their basketball shot from set a Guinness World Record. This took place at the Maletsunyane Falls in Lesotho, Africa, and was achieved by Derek Herron. Prior to this, the trio also set the world record for the world's longest golf putt at. The record was achieved by Brett Stanford and was covered in one of their videos uploaded on February 23, 2017.
On October 12, 2018, How Ridiculous uploaded their most popular video to date where they dropped a bowling ball onto a trampoline from at the Luzzone Dam in Switzerland. Their previous most popular video uploaded in March 2018 also involved dropping a bowling ball onto a trampoline from a great height, although it was from only.
In recent years, the trio added a fourth member to the recurring team - Jack Wallace aka "Editor Jack", whose primary job is camerawork and post-production editing. Mark Rober, in his appearance, helped the team build a two ton, Kevlar-and-steel trampoline which was featured afterwards in several videos.
