Henriette Gottlieb


Henriette Gottlieb was a German soprano.
Gottlieb was born in Berlin. She performed the Wagnerian role of Brünnhilde in the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Paris, in a 1928 performance of Der Ring der Nibelung, when she was a young and promising singer.
She performed in the premieres of the operas Die Hügelmühle by Friedrich Koch and Holofernes of Emil von Reznicek. Following the Nazi ban on Jewish performers, she lived in Berlin until she was deported to the Łódź Ghetto in 1941. She died on 2 January 1942.
