Harold Bradfield
Harold William Bradfield was an Anglican bishop who served as Bishop of Bath and Wells from 1946 to 1960.
He was educated at Alleyn's School and King's College London. Made a deacon at Michaelmas 1922 and ordained a priest the next Michaelmas — both times by William Temple, Bishop of Manchester, at Manchester Cathedral, he served a curacy in Prestwich and an incumbency in Oldham. An honorary canon of Canterbury Cathedral, he was Archdeacon of Croydon from 1942 to 1946, then Bishop of Bath and Wells until 1960. He was consecrated a bishop on SS Philip and James's day 1946, by Geoffrey Fisher, Archbishop of Canterbury, at Westminster Abbey. He died in office, at the Bishop's Palace, Wells, on 1 May 1960.
