Hanmi Buddhism

Hanmi Buddhism is a form of Esoteric Buddhism founded in China. It is also known as Chinese Mystery School. The 49th lineage holder of Chinese Esoteric School of Buddhism was Master Yu Tian Jian, also known as Master Yu and Dechan Jueren. However there is no lineage prior to Yu's spontaneous enlightenment, and doubts remain over the new teachings by empowered CD's aimed at the USA new age market. The organisation has no monastery in China, and serious doubt should be cast on the authenticity.
The current lineage holder is a matter of dispute. Some Hanmi Buddhists hold to the view that there is no current lineage holder while others, according to their Facebook group, believe there to be a 50th lineage Master alive at this time.
The school is divided in multiple factions, including those who follow Master Zanze Pandit as Guru, those under the guidance of Abbot Dan Kendall of Dari Rulai Temple in Los Angeles, and those in association with Hanmi Buddhism Jī. The later group contends that Master Yu passed on Hanmi Buddhism's lineage holder status to their group's leader, Master Shǔ, while the former two groups await the return of Master Yu. All claim to hold the true authority, but Pandit seems to be acknowledged as the lineage's Guru by the majority of Hanmi Buddhists.
