Hamburg Public Library (Hamburg, Pennsylvania)


Hamburg Public Library is a historic library building located at Hamburg, Berks County, Pennsylvania. It was designed and built in 1903–1904, with funds provided in part by the philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. It is one of 3,000 such libraries constructed between 1885 and 1919. The building is an "L"-shaped, 1 1/2-story, brick structure in the Romanesque Revival style. The entrance features a small courtyard and square portico topped by an octagonal turret. The interior features an octagonal rotunda.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
