Halley (Martian crater)


Halley Crater is an impact crater in the Argyre quadrangle of Mars, located at 48.7°S latitude and 59.3°W longitude. Halley is located on the western edge of the Argyre impact basin.
It is 84.5 km in diameter. It was named after British astronomer Edmond Halley, and the name was approved in 1973.
