Gunwantrao Rambhau Sarode


Dr. Gunwantrao Rambhau Sarode was a member of the 10th Lok Sabha 11th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Jalgaon constituency of Maharashtra and is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party political party. He was also member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the Raver constituency in Jalgaon district

Education and Political career

Dr. Gunwantrao Saroda was born on 3 April 1940 in Maskwad, Raver Taluka. He had completed MBBS from a B.J.medical college Pune. After that, he started medical services at Savda, Raver Taluka. In 1978, Sarode contested the election on the Bhartiya Janata Party's ticket for the Raver Aseembly election. In 1980, he became the founder president of BJP from Jalgaon district. For the first time in 1985, he became MLA from Raver.
In 1989, he contested from Jalgaon Lok Sabha constituency, but lost. However, for the first time in 1991, Lok Sabha was elected. In 1996, he was re-elected as a member of parliament. He also had the responsibility of BJP vice president in 1995.
