Guido Imbens
Guido Wilhelmus Imbens is a Dutch-American economist. He is Professor of Economics at the Stanford Graduate School of Business since 2012. After earning his Ph.D. from Brown University in 1991, he taught at Harvard University, UCLA, and UC Berkeley. Imbens specializes in econometrics, and in particular methods for drawing causal inference.
Imbens is a fellow of the Econometric Society and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Imbens was elected a foreign member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2017. He was elected as a Fellow of the American Statistical Association in 2020. He is married to economist Susan Athey.
