Green-backed whistler
The green-backed whistler or olive-backed whistler, is a species of bird in the family Pachycephalidae. It is endemic to the Philippines.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.Formerly, some authorities considered the green-backed whistler to be a subspecies of the mangrove whistler.Subspecies
Three subspecies are recognized:
- P. a. albiventris – : Found on northern Luzon
- P. a. crissalis – : Originally described as a separate species. Found on central and southern Luzon
- P. a. mindorensis – : Originally described as a separate species. Found on Mindoro
