Grafhorst

Grafhorst is a small town about 3 km north of Kampen, in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It received city rights in 1333.
It was most likely a small settlement before that. Most likely it existed already around 800.
History tells us that the Normans crossed the "Ganzediep" a local river.
The people at this time thrived from fishing, and harvesting "riet" .

Grafhorst was a separate municipality until 1937, when it became a part of IJsselmuiden; it is now a part of Kampen.
