Get Wet (Mental As Anything album)

Get Wet is the debut studio album released by Mental As Anything. It was released in November 1979, produced by Cameron Allan, and peaked at #19 on the Australian Album charts. The first single, "The Nips Are Getting Bigger", written by Martin Plaza was released in July 1979 and peaked at #16 on the Australian Singles charts. The next single, "Possible Theme for a Future TV Drama Series", written by Plaza and released in November 1979 reached #57, whilst the third single, "Egypt", which was released in January 1980, failed to chart. Get Wet was released overseas in New Zealand, and as a self-titled album in the UK and Europe.
Mombassa said the band's goal was, "Getting an album out that was reasonably like us. We had no great plans of what it should sound like although that was probably a bad idea as it should've sounded better. But it was done hastily and it's not a bad album."
