Georgy Markov
Georgy Markov - writer and politician from Soviet Union. He was born on April 6, 1911 in Novokuskovo and died on September 26, 1991 in Moscow. He graduated from the Tomsk State University. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War 1st class, the Lenin Prize, the Order of the Patriotic War 2nd class, the State Stalin Prize, 3rd degree, the Order of the October Revolution, the "Hammer and Sickle" gold medal, the Medal "For Battle Merit", the Order of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner, the Medal "For Strengthening of Brotherhood in Arms", the Vasilyev Brothers State Prize of the RSFSR, the Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945", the Hero of Socialist Labour, the Lenin Komsomol Prize, the Medal "For the Victory over Japan", the Order of the Red Banner of Labour.
