Gene Hallman


Leader in the sports marketing industry, Gene Hallman co-founded Bruno Event Team with partner Ronnie Bruno in 1995. President and CEO of the Alabama-based business, Bruno Event Team has grown into one of the country's largest dedicated sports event management companies with more than 90 teammates in twelve offices throughout the United States. Hallman is also CEO of ZOOM Motorsports and Bruno Hospitality, and oversees Bruno Event Team's management of Alabama Sports Council. He also serves on the board of directors for the Birmingham Business Alliances.

Background and personal life

Hallman received a bachelor's degree in economics from the College of Charleston and his Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. He is married to Jennifer Hallman and resides in Birmingham. He is a long-distance runner and has completed six marathons, including both the New York City and Boston Marathons. Hallman was a torchbearer in the Centennial 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
