Geet is a 1992 Bollywood Hindi film released on 20 November 1992 starring Divya Bharti in lead role. Avinash Wadhvan, Shakti Kapoor, Laxmikant Berde and Dharmesh Tiwari play supporting roles.

Plot

Rajesh Tripathi lives a poor lifestyle in a village in India along with his widower dad, Shivshankar. He leaves his father so that he can study in Bombay. While there, he becomes a fan of singer and dancer, Neha, he only paints hoardings of her.
now,neha's show manager hari saxena wants neha to be close with him but neha refuses and slap him.
he then calls another small singer to be replaced with neha and he cleverly puts vermilion in laddoos and gives them to neha.in the mid of the show neha's voice becomes rough and doctor told her that she can't sing anymore. on the other side rajesh caught by trafficpolice and unable to see neha's song.
he returns to his village and found that neha was there. she came there for peace. one day neha's car broke down. she was then lifted by raju. his car also broke down in middle of the forest then rains come down as they hide in a old house where some goons attack her raju beats all of them suddenly one of them said, sir you didn't give enough money to beat that much.
neha complains about it in police and raju was arrested then constable arrives with one of the goon who said all that when inspector asked him about all that he told him that he said it to protect himself and raju is now free.
neha plans and sends a love letter to him to accompany her to an isolated shack and locks him there, which almost kills him. After this incident, Neha does accept his friendship and confides in him that she can never sing as she has been poisoned by her former manager, Hari Saxena, so much so that her vocal cords have been damaged beyond repair. Rajesh accepts the challenge and sets about to resurrect Neha's voice and her career - not knowing that both of them may end up being targets of Hari - who has planned a devious ending for Neha and anyone who supports her.

The music of the album is composed by Bappi Lahiri and notable singers Lata Mangeshkar, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Mohammed Aziz and Pakistani singer Reshma lent their voice in the album. The song "Aap Jo Mere Meet Naa Hote" & "Prem Patra Aaya Hai Usne Bulaya Hai" were popular.
