Gantimurov family
The Gantimurovs is a Russian princely family descending from the Manchu chieftain Gantimur or Gantömör.
The descendants of Gantimur were confirmed as princes by a royal decree in 1686. They established the village of Karymskoye in Dauria. Their heraldic emblem is contained in the 17th part of the Gerbovnik.
Prince Nikolai Gantimurov, a Russian officer, took part in the Siege of Port Arthur. Natalia Gantimurova, Russian model, is the Miss Russia 2011 titleholder. Another Princess Gantimurova was a great grandmother of painter Wassily Kandinsky.
