History


According to historical evidence, an ancient name of Gangapur was Lalpura, Gangapur is named after the death of Maharani Ganga Bai Scindia. H.H. Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Maharani [Gangabai Raje Sahib Scindia prior to independence. It is municipal town.
