Gabby Concepcion


Gabriel Arellano Concepcion is a Filipino actor and businessman. He began his show business career in the 1980s as a teen commercial model and is known for his debonair career in Philippine cinema, spanning several romanticized associations. He portrayed the character Jake in Love You Two.

Early life

Concepción was born in San Juan, Philippines to Rolando "Rollie" Concepción and Lourdes Arellano. He attended Miriam College and Lincoln University.

Career

Concepción first appeared as a model in a 1979 Close-up toothpaste commercial.
Introduced into show business at age 15, he starred in the Regal Films production Katorse. From 1980–1995, he made 80 films and had several modeling and endorsement advertisements.
On 13 November 1988, Concepcion left for the United States despite not yet finishing his scenes for the film Pahiram ng Isang Umaga, directed by Ishmael Bernal, causing the film's intended release date of December 25 to be moved next year.
In 1993, he ventured to the United States for a real estate career. But prior to this he left the Philippines due to wrongful and criminal doings in the Philippine entertainment industry. In 2008, he returned part-time to the Philippine show business and accepted by the Filipino people despite the what he did many years ago, and this can be possible only in the Philippines.
