The Fossil Ridge Panthers are the reigning 6-4A champions in basketball having posted a 29-4 record and a 16-0 record in district play. The Panthers are also the reigning 5-5A champions. The program has made 4 playoff appearances: 1997-1998, 2000-2001, 2001–2002, 2002–2003. The program also went through a coaching change following back-to-back division championships. Head coach Brad Mouser left the Panthers to coach at Timber Creek High School. As a result, assistant coach Zack Myers took over the program.
Football
Fossil Ridge currently has two freshmen teams, one junior varsity team, and a varsity team. The teams play at the Keller Sports Complex, which includes an artificial turf field and sits directly across the street from Keller High School. In 2005, Fossil Ridge went back to the playoffs for the first time since the 2002 season, but only made it as far as the first round, suffering a 35-20 defeat to Trinity High School, the 2005 Class 5A state champions. The 2006 varsity game received online video coverage from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and KXAS NBC 5. In 2006, Fossil Ridge was reclassified to Class 4A, and was reclassified again in 2008 back to Class 5A. Beginning with the 2014-2015 school year, Fossil Ridge has been reclassified to 6A. Fossil Ridge won three consecutive games against rival Keller High School and six of the eleven games played from 1996–2008. The Panthers also defeated their other district rival, Central High School, in the 2008 season. Other sports offered at Fossil Ridge include baseball, softball, track and field, wrestling, power lifting, volleyball, tennis, golf, basketball, soccer, swimming and diving, bowling, rodeo, cross country, and ice hockey. at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.
2007 - UIL One Act Play 'Gint' advances to the Regional Meet and is awarded Alternate.
2008 - UIL One Act Play 'Eurydice' is awarded Best Actress and First Runner Up at the State Meet.
2010 - UIL One Act Play 'The Shadow Box' participated in the state meet. Received multiple acting awards.
JROTC
Fossil Ridge currently has an AFJROTC program. However, the program takes place at Central High School, a neighboring school in the KISD. The program consists of participants from all 4 KISD high schools.
Marching Band & Colorguard
The Fossil Ridge Panther Regiment is a marching band and colorguard program. The 2006 Senior Class received over $4.4 million in scholarship offers. The Panther Regiment has made back-to-back appearances in the 2007 4A and 2008 5A State Marching Band Contests. "Pride and Integrity" ;Shows
