Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking
International Extemporaneous Speaking is a style of competitive speaking sponsored by the National Speech and Debate Association. It is identical in structure to U.S. Extemp, except that the topics are focused on world affairs, rather than U.S. affairs.
In the event, competitors draw three different topics about a foreign affair from an envelope. The competitor then has 30 minutes to prepare a 5-7 minute speech which is then given to judges.
