Fey is a municipality in the district of Gros-de-Vaud in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland.
History
Fey is first mentioned in 1228 as Fei.Geography
Fey has an area,, of. Of this area, or 68.4% is used for agricultural purposes, while or 26.4% is forested. Of the rest of the land, or 5.7% is settled and or 0.1% is unproductive land.Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 2.4% and transportation infrastructure made up 2.9%. Out of the forested land, all of the forested land area is covered with heavy forests. Of the agricultural land, 52.0% is used for growing crops and 15.5% is pastures.
The municipality was part of the Echallens District until it was dissolved on 31 August 2006, and Fey became part of the new district of Gros-de-Vaud.
The municipality is located in the Gros-de-Vaud region.
