Fallen (film series)


Fallen is an American action film series created by screenwriters Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt. It stars Gerard Butler as United States Secret Service agent Mike Banning, Aaron Eckhart as U.S. President Benjamin Asher, and Morgan Freeman as the Speaker of the House Allan Trumbull. The film series consists of: Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, and Angel Has Fallen.The films have received generally mixed critical reception and have grossed a combined total of $523 million worldwide.
The film series will continue, as Butler signed on for three more feature films. With plans to expand into a franchise, producers have various foreign, local-language, TV spin-offs in development.

''Olympus Has Fallen'' (2013)

Disgraced Secret Service agent Mike Banning finds himself trapped inside the White House when North Korean terrorists attack. Using his inside knowledge, Banning must work with national security to rescue the President from his kidnappers.

''London Has Fallen'' (2016)

In London for the British Prime Minister's funeral, Mike Banning discovers a plot to assassinate all the attending world leaders ordered by a Pakistani terrorist leader and his son.

''Angel Has Fallen'' (2019)

Mike Banning is framed for the attempt to assassinate the President by a rogue private military company and must race against time to clear his name while uncovering the real threat.

Future

In November 2019, producer Alan Siegel announced that Gerard Butler will star in at least three more Has Fallen feature films. In addition to the movies, television spin-offs are being considered. Because of the film series' popularity in other territories, he also announced plans for various television series to debut in foreign countries, with each show's local mother tongues to be the spoken languages. Siegel stated that the intent for TV show installments, would be to expand the franchise and add additional characters to appear in future films.
