European Parliament Committee on Employment and Social Affairs


The Committee on Employment and Social Affairs is a committee of the European Parliament. Its current chair, elected on 7 July 2014, is Thomas Händel.
It is responsible for overseeing employment discrimination law within the European Union, among other things.
