Erich Giese
Kapitänleutnant Erich Giese was a German naval officer killed action during World War I.
Giese joined Imperial German Navy on the 1. April 1905. Giese was killed in Action of 5 June 1917 against Royal Navy warships aboard the torpedo boat S20. 49 of 74 men were killed.
The Kriegsmarine destroyer Z12 of World War II was named the Erich Giese in the honor of Giese. Also, a street is named in his honor in Munich, Germany.
