Egon Brestian


Egon Brestian, is an Austrian chess International Master , Austrian Chess Championship winner, Chess Olympiad individual gold medalist, FIDE Trainer.

Biography

In 1983, Egon Brestian won Austrian Junior Chess Championship. In 1987, he won Austrian Chess Championship but in 1989, he won silver medal in this tournament. Egon Brestian was winner of many international chess tournaments in Austria: Halleiner Open in Hallein, Heimo-Sommer-Gedenkturnier and Biedermeier Open in Wagna.

In 1987, Egon Brestian was awarded the FIDE International Master title. Also he known as a chess coach and organizer of chess life. Between 2006 and 2009 Egon Brestian was coach of the Austrian Chess Team. In 2007, he became a FIDE trainer. From 2007 to 2009, Egon Brestian was head of the Austrian Chess Federation Commission.
