Economic and Domestic Affairs Secretariat
The Economic and Domestic Affairs Secretariat is a in the United Kingdom Cabinet Office. It supports the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom co-ordinate and agree the government's domestic policy across the Cabinet; foreign and security policy is co-ordinated by the separate National Security Secretariat. The head of EDS, who reports directly to the Cabinet Secretary, is a director general. It is one of the most powerful roles in the Civil Service.
