East-West Industrial Corridor Highway, Arunachal Pradesh

The East-West Industrial Corridor Highway, Arunachal Pradesh, across lower foothills of Arunachal Pradesh India, is a proposed highway from Bhairabkunda in Assam at the tri-junction of Bhutan, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh to Ruksin in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. Along with the existing Trans-Arunachal Highway through the middle of Arunachal Pradesh and the proposed Arunachal Frontier Highway in upper Arunachal Pradesh along the China border it is one of 3 major highways spanning the whole state, thus enabling the Look East connectivity. It will form the part of proposed BCIM Economic Corridor.

Route alignment

This highway will run in the foothill areas of the Arunachal Pradesh state from Bhairabkunda, the tri-junction of Bhutan, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh to Ruksin in East Siang district which will serve as an industrial corridor for the people residing in the foothill areas of the state. It will intersect with the proposed Mago-Thingbu to Vijaynagar Arunachal Frontier Highway.
The Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar Forum for Regional Cooperation has proposed to build a multi-mode BCIM Economic Corridor that includes a highway from China to Bangladesh through Myanmar and India which is proposed to originate from Kolkata in India's West Bengal state to Kunming in China's Yunnan province passing through Dhaka and Chittagong in Bangladesh, India's north-eastern states of Manipur & Assam, and Myanmar's Mandalay as well as northern provinces. The proposed East-West Industrial Corridor Highway, Arunachal Pradesh and the Arunachal Frontier Highway would be connected to the BCIM Economic Corridor Highway.
