Duke Micah


Duke Akueteh Micah is a Ghanaian boxer. He competed in the Men's flyweight division in the boxing at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He won his first bout against Jason Lavigilante of Mauritius by 18 points to 14. In the second round, he lost to the Irish boxer, Michael Conlan, losing by 19 points to 8.
He made his professional debut soon after the games and his current record as a professional is 19–0, winning 17 of his bouts by way of knockout. In his last fight he won the Commonwealth bantamweight title, beating Matthew Chanda of Zambia at York Hall, Bethnal Green, London by a split decision.
He also holds the WBO Africa bantamweight title which he acquired in his twelfth bout, knocking out Ekow Wilson, also of Ghana, in the third round. Micah has since defended this title twice, first in a re-match with Wilson and then against Yaqub Kareem of Nigeria, both wins coming by way of KO.
