Downie bodies
Downie bodies, also known as a type of A-type inclusion, are a type of inclusion body associated with cowpox.
They are named for Allan Watt Downie.
It should not be confused with the term "Downey bodies", which refers to a type of T cell observed in infectious mononucleosis.
