Doug Karr


Doug Karr has worked in the movie industry since 1997. Karr’s 2009 film Ten for Grandpa is a personal investigation into the life of Karr's grandfather, an infamous Cold War merchant banker, and screened at the Sundance Film Festival. Karr's 2006 film, Anniversary Present stars David Alpay and Liane Balaban. Karr’s 2003 mental health caper The Straitjacket Lottery screened at over 25 festivals and won multiple awards. Karr’s other credits include award winning documentaries LSD 25, The June Bug Symphony, as well as the hour long and the 2007 follow up film The Face of Aids. His films have been seen by audiences around the world and on numerous television channels. Karr currently owns and operates Pie Face Pictures Production Company in New York City.
