Dottikon is a municipality in the district of Bremgarten in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland.

History

Dottikon is first mentioned in 1179 as Totinchon.

Geography

Dottikon has an area,, of. Of this area, 47.5% is used for agricultural purposes, while 22.7% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 28.9% is settled and the remainder is non-productive.
The municipality is located in the Bremgarten district on the edge of the Bünz stream. It consists of the linear village of Dottikon.

Demographics

Dottikon has a population of. , 33.6% of the population was made up of foreign nationals. Over the last 10 years the population has grown at a rate of 1.1%. Most of the population speaks German, with Italian being second most common and Turkish being third.
