Dominic Madden
Dominic Madden is an English venue owner.Career
Dominic Madden was born in Coventry. He is the co-founder and CEO of Electric Group, a private company that owns and operates a group of music venues including Electric Brixton, SWX Bristol amongst others.
Electric Brixton is a mid scale 1789 capacity live music and club event venue located in Brixton, South London. Prior to opening Electric Brixton, Madden purchased, refurbished and operated The Coronet, a 2300 capacity live music and club venue in South London and also produced a variety of West End theatre productions.
In 1997, Madden was the Associate Producer of the West End premiere of Chekhov's the Wood Demon at the Playhouse Theatre, directed by Anthony Clark. In 1998 he became the General Manager of the Latchmere Theatre in Battersea and ran the in house theatre company, with a focus on new writing and during this period Dominic oversaw a programme of new plays including the UK premiere of Aodhan Madden's 'Sea Urchins'. In 2000, Madden assisted John Reid and Sacha Brooks with the West End premiere of The Graduate, with Kathleen Turner and directed by Terry Johnson at the Gielgud Theatre. In 2001, Dominic co-produced Benefactors by Michael Frayn at Albery Theatre, with Neil Pearson.
Dominic also co-owned Arts Theatre, in London's West End.
