Dominic Lam


Dominic Lam Ka-wah is an actor in Hong Kong, and a radio host in both Vancouver and Toronto in Canada.

Biography

Early Life in Hong Kong

Lam was originally a graduate from the first annual of the Hong Kong Junior Police Training Program in 1974. He was then the host of the television program, "Junior Police Call". In the 1970s, he was involved in the Rediffusion Television, where he starred in a few television dramas. In the 1980s, Lam worked for the Television Broadcasts Limited. In 1988, he emigrated to Toronto, Ontario, which marked the end to his career in television until 2006.

Life in Toronto, Ontario

After his immigration to Toronto, he worked at Fairchild Media Group in Richmond Hill, Ontario. There, he worked as a disc jockey for a program named "Lam Ka Wah Carnival". This program is aired in the Greater Toronto Area as well as in the Greater Vancouver Area. He also hosted many Chinese television shows for Fairchild TV, a television station servicing Chinese immigrants in Canada.

Return to Hong Kong

In 2006, he decided to return to Hong Kong for his career. He has since starred in popular TVB television shows such as On the First Beat, The Money-Maker Recipe, The Four, E.U. Lam was an artiste with TVB rival Hong Kong Television Network in 2014 to 2015. He occasionally returns to Toronto and maintains a radio spot on Fairchild Radio.
