Dominic Azimbe Azumah


Dominic Azimbe Azumah is a Ghanaian politician and member of the Sixth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana representing the Garu-Tempane Constituency in the Upper East Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress.

Personal life

Azumah is a Christian. He is married.

Early life and education

Azumah was born on January 1, 1950. He hails from Garu, a town in the Upper East Region of Ghana. He entered the Institute of Local Government Studies, Ghana and obtained his certificate in Local Govt. Adm.

Politics

Azumah is a member of the National Democratic Congress. He first became a member of the parliament in January 1993 after his poll in the 1992 General Elections. He contested for the Parliamentary seat in his Constituency in the 2004 general Elections and became a member of the 4th parliament of the 4th Republic of Ghana in January 2005. In 2012, he contested for the Garu/Tempane seat on the ticket of the NPP sixth parliament of the fourth republic and won. In the same year he doubled as the Minister of State-designate under the Government of John Evans Attah Mills.
