Debra Jackson (nurse)


Debra Elizabeth Jackson is an Australian nurse and professor in the Faculty of Health in the University of Technology Sydney, holding the positions of professor of Nursing at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, visiting professor at the Florence Nightingale Faculty in Kings College London, Bournemouth University, and Auckland University of Technology. She is the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Clinical Nursing.
Jackson is a well known author and thought leader in nursing and health care. Her best known work is in social justice and health care, and patient safety, particularly in the area of pressure injuries. She has nearly 20,000 citations to her work.

Jackson has a bachelor of health science in nursing Southern Cross University, a master of nursing from the University of Sydney, and a doctor of philosophy from Flinders University. She has completed advanced leadership training at the Said Business School, University of Oxford.
