Danielle Hazell
Danielle Hazell is an English former cricketer. Born in Durham in 1988 she plays for the Sapphires in the 'Super Fours' competition and was a late inclusion into England's successful World Twenty/20 squad in 2009, replacing the injured Anya Shrubsole, although she did not appear in the tournament. She is a right-handed batsman and off break bowler. She made her Test debut in the one off Ashes Test at Bankstown Oval in January 2010. In January 2019, she announced her retirement from international cricket.
She is the holder of one of the first tranche of 18 ECB central contracts for women players, which were announced in April 2014. She along with Holly Colvin holds the record for the highest 9th wicket partnership in WT20I history
On 15 November 2016, Hazell captained England for the first time in a Women's One Day International against India after Heather Knight was ruled out through injury.
Hazell was a member of the winning women's team at the 2017 Women's Cricket World Cup held in England.
In October 2018, she was named in England's squad for the 2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20 tournament in the West Indies. In November 2018, she was named in the Adelaide Strikers' squad for the 2018–19 Women's Big Bash League season.
