Dakar (album)
Dakar is a Pepper Adams & Cecil Payne album credited in its reissue form to jazz musician John Coltrane, released in 1963 on Prestige Records. Dakar is a reissue of one side of a 16 rpm LP called Baritones and French Horns, originally released in 1957. It was also originally credited to the "Prestige All Stars".
As Coltrane's profile grew during the 1960s and after his Prestige contract had ended, the record company assembled and reissued various recordings John Coltrane participated in with his name prominently displayed. Though in many cases, as on Dakar, he had originally been a sideman.- "Dakar" — 7:09
