History

The station opened on June 1, 1944 with the name Sangyōdōro Station. From June 1, 1948, it became a station on the Keihin Electric Express Railway. The station building was rebuilt in 1968. Construction to convert the station to an underground station due to traffic congestion on the Sangyo-doro Avenue was completed on March 2, 2019.
The station was renamed Daishibashi Station on 14 March 2020. The name is being changed for the station's adjacency to the Daishi Bridge linking Kawasaki City to Tokyo's Ōta Ward.
