DYQN


DYQN, broadcasting as 895 Home Radio Iloilo, is a commercial FM station of Aliw Broadcasting Corporation. Its studios and transmitters are located at Iloilo City. The main format of the station is a fusion of easy listening music and local produced content consisting of news and talk shows.

History

The station first broadcast as Q-89 the next big thing way back in November 1993. Playing the latest up-scale music. In the July 1994, they introduced Student Jocks as trainee. Every Sunday, student jocks take the board work of regular DJs and make their own creativity work their style. In January 1995, all Student Jocks end their program and graduate and make their own destiny in radio business and at the same time change name to Q89 the station who cares. In around 1999, the station changed their name again to Home Radio Q89 they change their music format to masa or low class music. But by 2000 Metro Manila's Home Radio changed their music format to easy listening. In a matter of six months, the easy listening music format made a good impression to its listeners. They immediately implemented to all their provincial stations.
As of March 2014, Home Radio was reformat again as Natural!
In November 2014, 89.5 was rebranded again as Home Radio for its 2nd iteration.
In July 2017, 89.5 Home Radio reverted to easy listening format as 895 Home Radio. In 2018, just as with other Home Radio provincial stations, it started its simulcast of DWIZ 882's program "Karambola" to the station; and in July of the same year, it included some of the station's locally produced programs that feature local news, commentaries and information in Hiligaynon to its line-up.
