DB Netz


DB Netz AG was a 100%-owned subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn. It was a railway infrastructure manager which owned and operated a majority of the German railway system. The company was established in the course of the second stage of the German rail reform as a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn. DB Netz's headquarters were in Frankfurt and it had seven regional divisions. The locations of its regional headquarters were Berlin, Frankfurt, Duisburg, Hanover, Karlsruhe, Leipzig and Munich.
In December 2007, it was superseded by DB Netze when DB reorganised into 3 departments covering passengers, logistics, and infrastructure.
