Charlie Airlines, operating as Cyprus Airways, is a Cypriot airline based at Larnaca International Airport.

History

In 2016, it was announced that S7 Airlines was planning to launch a Cypriot airline under the name Charlie Airlines. That same year, it won the rights to use the trademarks of bankrupt Cyprus Airways beginning in July 2016. The airline's logo incorporates an olive branch, the main symbol of Cyprus. On 4 March 2017, the airline conducted its proving flight from Larnaca International Airport to Heraklion International Airport with an Airbus A319-100, as part of the procedure to obtain the certificate. On 14 March 2017, it was announced that the airline had obtained the Air operator certificate from the Cypriot Department of Civil Aviation, marking the start of commercial service for the airline.
During 2019 400.000 passengers travelled to and from Cyprus with Cyprus Airways.
