Cuba at the 1996 Summer Olympics
Cuba competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, United States. 164 competitors, 111 men and 53 women, took part in 84 events in 15 sports.
Due to Cuba's strained relations with the United States and its trade embargo against Fidel Castro regime, Cuban athletes were allowed to travel to Atlanta only following the permission of its local NOC, so that all the athletes are vetted and cannot defect.
