The final was held on 10 March 2002 at Zagreb Fair, hosted by Dusko Ćurlić and Bojana Gregorić. The winner was chosen by a combination of the votes from five regional juries, four televoting regions, Internet voting and an "expert" jury.
One of the juries initially made a mistake with their votes, and when they were corrected Vesna Pisarovic got an extra 12 points, Alen Vitasovic an extra 10, while Joy lost 12 points and Mladen Burnac lost 10.Points awarded in the final:
