County Hall, Chichester

County Hall is a municipal facility at West Street in Chichester, West Sussex.

History

Initially West Sussex County Council held its meetings at the Town Hall in Horsham but it acquired Edes House in West Street in Chichester for this purpose in 1916. By the late 1920s the County Council was seeking larger premises: County Hall, which was designed by Cecil G Stillman, the County Architect, in the Georgian Revival style, was completed in 1933. The building was refurbished in order to create an open-plan working environment in 2011.
