Corrachadh Mòr


Corrachadh Mòr ETRS89 is a hillock on the Ardnamurchan peninsula in Lochaber, Highland, Scotland, notable for adjoining the most westerly point on the island of Great Britain. It is 37 km or 23 miles further west than Land's End in Cornwall. That is, at Land's End due west to the longitude of Corrachadh Mòr.
Depending on which coordinates are used, this headland is west of Ardnamurchan Point. That is, at Ardnamurchan Point due west to the longitude of Corrachadh Mòr. Ardnamurchan Point is commonly, but incorrectly, described as the most westerly point on the peninsula.
Corrachadh Mòr means 'great, tapering field' in Scottish Gaelic.
