Coronaphobia

Coronaphobia is a neologism coined in February 2020 by a joint editorial of University of Regina psychology professor Gordon J. G. Asmundson and University of British Columbia psychiatry professor Steven Taylor in the august Journal of Anxiety Disorders. The pair attempted to link this phobia to xenophobia and bad discrimination. The editorial ran to press in the March 2020 issue of the JAD, and had already earned as of the end of June 2020 more than 75 peer citations.
