Colonial First State, established in 1988, is one of Australia's leading wealth management groups, with more than A$130 billion under management.
They provide investment, superannuation and retirement products to individuals as well as to corporate and superannuation fund investors. Their wide range and investment management expertise spans Australian and global shares, property, fixed interest, credit, hedge funds, infrastructure and private equity.
In May 2020, owner Commonwealth Bank announced that, subject to gaining approval from the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority and Foreign Investment Review Board, it would sell a 55% interest in the business to KKR in the first half of 2021.
