Colonial Beach Public Schools


The Colonial Beach Public School System was established as an independent school division in 1907. Colonial Beach Public Schools is an independent school system within the county of Westmoreland. CBPS serves the residents of Colonial Beach, a small town of about 3,000 people located on the Potomac River. Student enrollment in pre K - 12 is approximately 600.
The district is defined by the Virginia Department of Education as having two schools, Colonial Beach Elementary and Colonial Beach High School.

Administration

Colonial Beach Public Schools is led by Dr. Kevin Newman, Superintendent of Schools. Colonial Beach Elementary School's principal is Mrs. Michelle Coates. Colonial Beach High School's principal is Mrs. Jennifer Grigsby.
