College of Business and Technology


College of Business & Technology is a for-profit college based in Miami, Florida. CBT operates five campus locations throughout the County of Miami-Dade and one corporate office located in the city of Miami.
CBT College was formerly nationally accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, certified by the Florida Department of Education, has programmatic accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education for their Health Information Management degree, and is a CompTIA authorized Academy.

History

College of Business and Technology was founded in 1988 by educators who emigrated from Peru in the year 1980, Fernando Llerena and Gladys Llerena. Initially, CBT College was founded with the name Business & Technology Institute or BTI however, it was later in the year 2000 when B.T.I. became nationally accredited by with the introduction of Associate of Science degrees. After acquiring national accreditation, B.T.I. was renamed College of Business & Technology .

Academics

CBT College offers academic, technical, and vocational programs. Some of these courses give the individual the ability to apply for professional certifications applicable for the area of training.
