Trinity College, Cambridge
. Thornton was

Bishopwearmouth
he held
incumbencies
in
Greasley
and
Sheffield
. During
World War One
he served with the
Royal Army Service Corps
. After that he served in
South London
parishes until his
Yorkshire appointment
